Resource Efficiency Projects
EIP designs and implements energy efficiency, renewable energy, and environmental justice programs. We utilize deep engineering and technical expertise, and specialize in serving commercial, industrial, residential, public sector, and utility customers.
Beneficial Electrification
A major New York utility embarked on a Clean Heat Initiative, aiming to promote the adoption of heat pumps among commercial and residential customers.
EIP designed and implemented the program, resulting in reduced energy consumption, increased affordability of energy-efficient equipment, and significant progress toward the region's electrification and decarbonization goals.
Strategic Energy Management
EIP manages Strategic Energy Management (SEM) programs for electric and gas utilities in Illinois, New York, Washington and Canada.
SEM represents a systematic and comprehensive approach to energy efficiency that assures lasting savings while aligning with facility management, asset protection, and emerging environmental regulations.
This continual improvement strategy ensures that efficiency gains remain self-sustaining.
Retrocommissioning (RCx)
EIP currently leverages its deep technical engineering expertise and extensive experience in large-scale program management within New York State to cater to the diverse needs of commercial and industrial customers spanning various segments.
We collaborate with private contractors to study and optimize sites, reducing energy expenditures and ensuring compliance with evolving environmental regulations.
Our efforts assist properties in achieving and maintaining higher standards of savings and performance in their facilities, as well as with their staff.
Income Qualified Multifamily Strategic Energy Management
EIP is driving energy efficiency transformations in large low- and moderate-income multifamily communities across Northern Illinois through a pilot SEM and workforce development initiative.
Our program offers in-person coaching for facility managers and tenants, focusing on low-cost and no-cost improvements, as well as strategies for funding capital equipment replacements.
These valuable services are provided by local utilities at no cost to the buildings or their residents.
Income Qualified Manufactured Home Renovation
EIP offers one-on-one support, provided in the preferred language of manufactured homeowners in Oregon, to assist them in applying for grants and subsidized financing.
These resources enable the replacement of old, inefficient homes with new energy-efficient ones.
This nonprofit-led initiative not only enhances energy efficiency but also contributes to improved housing security and family health.
The program boasts a remarkably high acceptance rate thanks to the quality of applications and successful outreach efforts.
Midstream Lighting
In the Pacific Northwest, lighting customers are currently enjoying hassle-free rebates on their energy-efficient purchases, thanks to EIP's leadership in an ongoing midstream program.
We collaborate with distributors, retailers, and key stakeholders to successfully promote the adoption of energy-efficient products, encourage the desired consumer behavior, and enhance overall customer satisfaction.
Large Public Sector Energy Efficiency Portfolio
EIP is presently engaged in the implementation of an ambitious energy efficiency program for a major utility in California.
We offer technical assistance, procurement support, facility assessments, incentive facilitation, and workshops aimed at influencing capital improvements and behavioral energy savings.
This program's outreach covers a wide range of sectors, including healthcare, office buildings, wastewater treatment facilities, and more.
